Hello to all Americans in Cairo! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Cairo? There’s no doubt about it: Cairo is one of the busiest cities in Africa and the Arab world. The Egyptian capital is a mega city known for its closeness to the famous Giza pyramid complex, the Middle East’s oldest and largest music and film industry, the striking Cairo Opera House, and much more! With the metro system, as well as tram, ferry, and (mini) bus services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in one of Cairo's typical expat neighborhoods such as Maadi or Heliopolis, which are about an hour away from Cairo’s center.
