InterNations Guangzhou: Beach Volleyball and Photowalk Group Challenge

Dear InterNations Members,

Finally an event that we can all have fun with
sports and photos. Feel the bliss of summer!
And the best way to enjoy the heat is by playing
volleyball on the sand. Yes, a beach volleyball tournament
is brewing in Panyu. Dust off that bumping and spiking skills
and get ready to serve that ball on coarse sand while freezing up
in air to give the best action shot that photographers can take as their
prize shot of the day.

There are two easy ways to get to Cohibas Restaurant where the volleyball area is. The first one is getting on a Clifford bus from certain points in Guangzhou such as Garden Hotel, Shi Er Gong station and Tiyu Xi Lu station to Clifford Estates in Panyu. From there, we can all meet up at the bus station and walk our way to Cohibas. The map can tell us the direction to take going to Cohibas.

The second one is through subway train that goes to Shi Qiao station. Once you're in Exit C, take Bus number 1 and the last station will be at Clifford Estates. Again, the map can tell you the direction and walk your way to Cohibas.

If you're driving a car, just follow the map. Your points of reference include Clifford Estates and Chimelong Park.

We can start playing volleyball at 9AM and continue on until after lunch time. Lunch can be bought at the restaurant which is right next to the volleyball area. Members of the photowalk group can both play and take photos of players in action. The sample pictures in this album was taken during our sand volleyball tournaments for the past three years.
