Following a great event at Duetto with close to 400 guests, we return to MAGNUM (3rd & 4th Floor, Silver Fortune Plaza, 1 Wellington Street, Central) on Friday, June 29th, from 7pm to 10pm onwards. Magnum has become the favorite venue of the InterNations community in Hong Kong, and the scene of the previous largest InterNations event in Hong Kong with over 475 guests on February 24th, and over 500 people in May. With the huge crowd, importantly, it is also tremendously spacious and enjoyable.

This time, the event will be hosted jointly by the Hong Kong InterNations community and the Italian Women’s Association to support the Cradle of Hope Association in Macau, an orphanage which caters for over 65 babies and children, as well as Hong Kong Unison, which is a local HK charity set up to provide education and support for ethnic minorities and minority children in Hong Kong.

Over 13,000 sq.ft, Magnum is the newest and most luxurious private club located in the heart of Central, and we shall be taking this absolutely stunning venue private until 10pm.

INTERNATIONS HONG KONG:

ITALIAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION HONG KONG:

The Italian Women’s Association welcomes both Italian and non-Italian ladies who are interested in our friendship, our language, our culture and our activities. We focus on organising multiple activities, such as social and cultural events, children’s playgroups, hiking and so on. In this way, members of the Association can meet regularly and ladies who have recently arrived in Hong Kong will find a welcoming environment. The end goal of the Association is to RAISE FUNDS FOR CHARITIES. We are happy to cooperate with charity projects and we are also willing to establish contacts with other women’s associations in Hong Kong.

The Italian Women’s Association will be responsible for donating cash proceeds to the Cradle of Hope Orphanage in Macau.

HONG KONG UNISON

Hong Kong Unison Ltd. was established in 2001 as a non-governmental organisation to service Hong Kong's Ethnic Minority Residents – especially in areas of education and equality for children. Founder Fermi Wong realised that the Ethnic Minority community in Hong Kong was being ignored in social policy and social service provisions, and decided to take action to help Hong Kong become a more equal place.

From humble beginnings, Hong Kong Unison has expanded its scope from individual case attention to changes in social policy. In 2005, Hong Kong Unison was incorporated into a limited company and was recognised as a public charitable institution (IR File No. 91/7763).

CRADLE OF HOPE ASSOCIATION, MACAU

The “Cradle of Hope Association” had humble beginnings in Macau, with one couple offering loving care for one abandoned baby in 1993.

Jorge and Marjory Vendramini’s small apartment, where the 2 month old abandoned baby started his life, has expanded to two residential Homes – “Cradle of Hope” and “Fountain of Hope” – which now cares for over 64 babies and children with the capacity to care for 84.

The “Cradle of Hope Association” was officially formed in 2000 to oversee the management of the two residential homes and is a private, non-profit charity registered in Macau. The baby boy who had his first home with Jorge and Marjory is now 15 years old. He returned to Macau in 2008 to thank the staff and his words were: “Thank you for giving me a second chance at life.”

The Helping Hand Group has raised and donated over USD40 million for leading charities, community groups, schools and sporting clubs since 1997
