There’s no doubt about it: Montevideo is a vibrant place and rich in culture. The capital of Uruguay is a port city known for its rich history and culture, lively arts and music scene, international flavor, and much more! With the available taxis, bus network, and suburban rail lines, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Pocitos, Punta Carretas, or Carrasco, for example, which are up to an hour commute away from Montevideo’s center.
