Living in Oxnard

Located in Ventura County, Southern California, Oxnard is a large coastal city which is also closely located to Los Angeles, making it a desirable location for those wishing to live outside of, but near to, this busy city. Oxnard is known as โ€œthe Lima Bean Capital of the Worldโ€, because of its reputation for growing and exporting Lima beans on the Oxnard Plain. The city has plenty to offer, and expats living in Oxnard will be able to take in many of its attractions, such as the Carnegie Art Museum, or a trip to Heritage Square which is home to a number of replicated and original historic buildings. The city is also home to beautiful stretches of beaches, popular with surfers, as well as visitors who appreciate the smooth composition of the sand, which is largely free from debris and rocks. The city is furthermore well known for being a key center for punk music at the height of its popularity, and it still plays an important role for the genre today.
