Patna is a fascinating city and regarded as one of the oldest places of continuous human settlement in the world, with its history dating back to 490 BCE and the area sometimes also known as known as ‘the Ancient city of Pataliputra’. Located in the state of Bihar, Patna is one of the fastest growing cities in India and the world and as such it is a thriving center for business. For expats living in Patna, there are a number of historical attractions to visit, which are also a draw for tourists, including the Municipal Museum, known for having over 50,000 rare art objects whilst Har Mandir Saheb is also another popular place to visit, and is the birthplace of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Jee, the 10th Sikh Guru. Popular sports in Patna include cricket, with the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium serving as a major stadium in the area, and the Indian wrestling sport Kabbadi.
