There’s no doubt about it: living in Turin means living in Italy’s “industrial triangle”. The capital of the Piedmont region is a northern Italian city known for being a major center for trade and industry — Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia are all headquartered here — but also for its rich culture, fascinating history, striking architecture, tasty cuisine including locally produced chocolate, and much more! With the tram, bus, underground (Metrotorino), and metropolitan railway services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in outer neighborhoods, such as Madonna del Pilone or Borgo Po, for example, which are a 30 to 40-minute commute away from Turin’s center.
