Blues Night: Electric Jardyland (Abidjan)

Hola blue people,

After a long break, CC Rider & the Blues Machine are back at Jardyland this Friday, March 6, starting 9pm. Fish & chips, pizzas & other foods, cold draft beer, and the sound of the best and only blues band in Abidjan. We’re gonna have special guests this Friday, including the great jazz organist Alain Mechoulam, who taught the organ to the likes of Jimmy Smith and Dr. Lonnie Smith and all the other Smiths you may think of, famous blues guitarist and heavy beer drinker Laurent Benisti, and hopefully the impossible Emmett McDonald at the trombone and, also hopefully, Moussan, the greatest blues harmonicist north of the Lagoon. And maybe others. This is good, so you won’t notice that we haven’t practiced in a while!

Anybody who can sing or play the blues, be it on a guitar, a sax, an ukulele, or any other noisy thing, just jump on stage and join the band!
