Can I buy household items 2nd hand? (Abu Dhabi)

Hi, I'm moving to AD in 2 weeks. I'll stay at a hotel for roughly 30 days while my husband and I find a house to rent. We were wondering if we could buy 2nd hand furniture either from a shop or from an expat who is moving on from UAE. We managed to do this in Saudi and it saved a substantial amount of money.
