coming to Abu Dhabi in January

My husband is being sponsored for a job here and I am coming with him. My question if anyone can help is. I am Canadian, permanent resident in USA married to an American, his work is going to sponsor me to stay after his first 45 to 90 days. I want to come sooner and want to know how long I can stay as a visitor and do I have to leave the country during the time they sponsor me. Also if i find a job while visiting can the change in visiting happen while I am in country or do I have to leave? I can travel to other surrounding countries as I have friend and relatives living nearby. If anyone has any experience or knowledge in this area I would very much appreciate your help. I am so looking forward to meeting many of you.
