International dirving license, please advise!!! (Abu Dhabi)

Hi,
I have a French Passport and a UK dirving license and i am thinking about ocnverting it to an international one here before heading out to AD.
How easy is it to then convert an international one to a 'local' one and be able to drive? please advise!
