Sponsorship for Immigration (Abu Dhabi)

Hi everybody out there in Abu Dhabi,

I'm located in Abu Dhabi since 4 weeks and I'm planning to stay here for 1 or 2 years to work on a project. Im working as a self-employed consultant. For immigration pupose it seems to be necessary to have a personal local sponsorship. Although these costs are very high and different people are telling different facts about the need of this 'feature'. Does anybody have some ideas, which might help me with this issue? Is it really necessary to spend 10.000 up to 30.000 US$ per year or even a provision on turnover? Do you have any ideas about good and reasonable priced housing?
