Springfest at Brauhaus, Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi

As is usual tradition at Brauhaus annually, Beach Rotana will be celebrating 10 days of Frühlingsfest, Germany’s famous Spring Festival, which we affectionately call Spring Fest. Spring Fest is the spring equivalent of the Oktoberfest.

This year the festival will compose of five different areas, including a tent and courtyard with a stage for ‘live’ entertainment and games.

Dates : 11th April until 20th April
Time : 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. daily

Menu
Already well-known for its German cuisine, guests at Spring Fest can indulge in time-honoured Bavarian staples from the barbeque and rotisserie such as Classic Shaschlik Skewers, Berner Roesti, Veal Stew and a selection of traditional German breads amongst others.

The special Spring Fest menu was created by Specialty Chef, Kevin Hein, who shares that “Bavaria is known for its hearty cuisine and that is what we will be bringing to our guests who join us in our Spring Fest celebrations.”

‘Live’ Entertainment
The ever-popular Tschirgant Trio flown in from Austria especially for the occasion will keep guests entertained with ‘The Bottle Song’, ‘Rafting Cowboy’, ‘Hey du’ and many more of their hits.

Games
Festivities will include customary German games, such as –

Schuhplattler: Contestants try their best at this folk dance with the aim to stay as much in rhythm with the musicians until the end of the song that is played.

The Nail Game: Contestant aim to hit the nail into the wood within 3 strikes. The tricky part is finding a balance between force and aim.

Masskrug Stemmen: The aim of this game is to keep the Stein (glass) extended at arm’s length for as long as possible whilst it is full.
