What to do in Al Mushrif? (Abu Dhabi)

I am New to Abu Dhabi, (just getting to 3weeks) I am here for another 3weeks (with the possibility of a permanent position). Looking to see if Abu Dhabi is a good fit for me, staying in Al Mushrif, not far from the Mall. Wondering if there is anything to do in the evenings other than sit in the Mall.
Would welcome the advice and any chances to socialise while I am here.
