Event Non Attendance (Accra)

Again I find that people take invitations lightly..

I organiise events for the Curry group , which involves securing places at a Restaurant, which unlike events at an open bar requires that I have a very clear idea of numbers, booking for 25 and only 10 turn up creates a problem for both me and the restaurant, no just for space, but also waiting for latecomers that never arrive..

Last night was no exception, with only a few actually letting me know , when all on the invitation had been given my phone number , and also a reminder earlier in the day..

Is this a universal problem , or just here?

I also now exclude certain people from the count as I know they will never show , even if they sign up..
