Work permit/visa for partner (Accra)

Hi there,

I have been offered a fellowship with Engineers without Borders in Ghana and am seriously considering the position.

However, my girlfriend would be coming with me and I am not sure if she will be able to get a visa or work permit. I don't want to accept the position only to find that she cannot work in the country.

Does anyone have any insights or experience obtaining work permits for significant others? She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and a Masters degree in International Development from the University of Ottawa in Canada. What are my chances that in a few months time she will be able to legally work and find employment in Accra?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I will likely have to make my decision this week!
