Rajesh is Deputy Mayor of London for Business and Enterprise and is also Chairman of London & Partners, London’s official investment and tourism promotion agency and Deputy Co-chair of London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP).
Born and raised in Indore, central India, in Protected content , Rajesh moved to London and aged 24, his first journey outside India arriving with £200 in his pocket.
After working in IT support in a small business in London, Rajesh started his entrepreneurial journey founding RationalFX in Protected content , and Xendpay in Protected content . From a two-person start-up, RationalFX became one of the leading deliverable foreign exchange providers in Europe.
Rajesh is Chair of Oxfam’s Enterprise Development Programme, Patron of the Prince’s Trust, and former Trustee of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of arts, manufacturers, and commerce, and a Freeman of the City of London.
