Luxor airport pick up & Aswan airport drop off included in the price along with all other transfers, meals, accommodation on board a Nile cruise ship, tour guide and entrance fees.

LUXOR: Karnak & Luxor temple

The day starts with with meeting your tour guide and visiting the East Bank of Luxor which includes the Karnak and Luxor temples. First stop will be at the Karnak temple, this complex is the largest place of worship ever built, and a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. We will continue our tour at the Luxor temple, which was dedicated to the Theban triad Amun, Mut and Khonsu.

Private coach with a/c will pick up from the airport/rail or bus station in Luxor (if required) & deliver you to the ship for embarkation (passport or National ID card required for registration), tours and back to the ship for meals.

LUXOR: Valley of the Kings & Queen Hatshepsut temple

After breakfast on board the ship, the day will start with a tour of the West Bank. First stop will be at Valley of the Kings where generations of Pharaohs and Nobles were buried in crypts cut into the cliffs. Then you will visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple which is built into the Eastern face of the Theban Mountain as if nature herself had hewed this extraordinary monument. Last, we will visit the great two statues Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues that represent king Amenophis III seated on a cube shaped throne, then back to the ship for lunch. While dining we will set sail for Edfu via the Esna Locks and continue sailing overnight. There will be time to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Nile, swim in the onboard pool, or just relax.

ON THE NILE: Edfu & Kom Ombo

While sailing to Aswan, we will make brief stops at Edfu after breakfast, to see one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic period, where you will discover the huge temple dedicated to the God Horus by horse & carriage. There will be time to visit the colourful local bazaars on your way where you find a variety of beautiful local items. Alabaster and cotton originate from this region of Egypt and are usually available for fantastic prices here or in Aswan. After lunch on board, we will sail to Kom Ombo, where you can visit the unusual double temple dedicated to the crocodile God Sobek and the God Haroer is. There are also a number of mummified crocodiles here. We continue sailing overnight.

ASWAN: High Dam & Philae Temple

After enjoying your first views of Aswan and breakfast on board we will visit the High Dam; an engineering miracle which built in the Protected content , by van with a/c. The van will also take us to the local docks where we will take a small local boat to Egilika Island to visit Philae temple; considered by many to be the most beautiful temple in Egypt, where your guide will orient you on a walking tour through the temple followed by some free time to explore or enjoy the cafe. After returning to the ship for dinner you may have time to enjoy a local felucca (small traditional sailing vessel) or you may consider using the time to visit more of Aswan such as the famous historical Cataract Hotel < Protected content

Anytime after lunch we can arrange a private coach with a/c to drop you off in central Aswan or at the airport/rail or bus station in ASWAN (if required) after disembarkation procedures.

Gratuities are not included but are much appreciated if you feel you were treated well. There is no need to provide a tip (baksheesh) to anyone during your cruise as this will be taken care of by your tour guide. However, should you wish to do so, you are welcome to provide a lump sum to your tour guide for their services before final disembarkation, as well as reimburse their expenses for baksheesh that might have been needed to smooth out any unexpected circumstances and to distribute among all the on board staff who provided assistance, including the on shore staff, such as the drivers. Generally we meet as a group and discuss, collect amongst ourselves and hand over a lump sum with suggestions for allocation.

There are 4 options to travel to Luxor from Cairo:

(2) Bus: "Elite plus" £E275.00 or "Deluxe plus" £E165.00 or "Royal Class" £E195.00 or "New Deluxe Class" £E175.00 ONE WAY from Cairo to Luxor with GO bus (use the promo code "Egypt2018" for 20% discount) Book here: < Protected content & you can also choose your seat or call Protected content . All buses generally move from their Cairo at night, except the Royal class which leaves mid-afternoon. (Go Bus does not go to Aswan - there is a train between Luxor and Aswan that is only a couple of hours so you can book a return ticket from Cairo to Luxor) and payment can be made online, or by Fawry or COD.

(3) Plane: £E1127.00/ $60 USD & up from Cairo to Luxor or £E1627.00/ $90 USD & up ONE WAY from Aswan to Cairo < Protected content It takes just over an hour. (There is also a train between Luxor and Aswan that is only a couple of hours if you want to book a return ticket from Cairo to Luxor )

(4) Private car: £E800.00/ $50USD (includes petrol, car & driver [721KM] from Cairo to Luxor & [982KM] return from Aswan to Cairo) less if sharing with others <this can be booked through me> By private vehicle it is best to leave Cairo by 06:00/07:00 to miss traffic, & take some breakfast with you, this way you make one quick stop for petrol & lunch as it takes up to 8-hours depending on how often and how long you stop - so you can be in Luxor for dinner.
