The Exhibition Violon d'Ingres at Villa Medici
the Exhibition Violon d'Ingres at Villa Medici
Thu 01 Nov 19: Protected content
A great event at the French Academy, in cooperation with the French Culture Group, an example of positive dialogue and collaboration between different Groups here in Rome.
So you -and your friends- can also register under the French Culture Group
This is pretty much in the Internations' spirit.
The Violon d'Ingres is an exceptional exhibition on the transversal and radical practices of brilliant personalities of all time. Focused on the figure of Victor Hugo and on a rigorous and surprising selection of his drawings - by many contemporary artists considered more and more inspiring -, the exhibition presents at the same time the passions and obsessions, less known by the public, of extraordinary figures such as Guillaume Apollinaire, Antonin Artaud, Samuel Beckett, Sergueï Mikhailovich, Eisenstein, Federico Fellini, Jean Genet, Franz Kafka, Pierre Klossowski, Carlo Levi, Nelson Mandela, Louise Michel, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Arnold Schönberg, and the contemporary Etel Adnan,Chantal Akerman, Chris Kraus, Pierre Guyotat, Abbas Kiarostami, David Lynch, Patti Smith and Robert Wilson.
A must see event ! A unique opportunity to enjoy a special cultural event in a very unique setting, meet new people, talk with artists, make new friends in a cozy international atmosphere!
