Visit the Museum-Townhouse Bagatti Valsecchi
Dear All,
In the heart of Milan, right in between two well-known streets of luxury, Via S. Spirito and Via Gesù, stands an outstanding building , home of the family Bagatti-Valsecchi.
Between Protected content 1883, the two brother Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti-Valsecchi built this house. Both of them architects and lawyers, inherit an instinct and true love for art from there father Piero, painter. Besides their home they contribute to building or restoring other important historical sites and artworks in Milan.
At that time, there was a trend about choosing the style of important homes. Today we choose Ikea, design furnish style or vintage. Well, they since they both are connoisseurs and lovers of the great past art, particularly Renaissance, they choose to decorate their homes, a specular two halves house between the two above mentioned streets, in the style of late Renaissance and early XIV century, enriching the ambiences with frescoes and items of their private collections.
For those wanting to discover this pearl in the heart of Milan or just refreshing memories, I encourage you to join the event.
We'll meet in front of the Museum on the side of Via Gesù. A multilingual audio-guide is available ( the one in Italian is recorded by one of the living hairs).
Tickets can be purchased right at the museum-desk. Cost 15€/person.
After the visit we may be in the mood for a drink downtown Milan.
Looking forward to meet you.
