How to bring your shadow side to light and let it empower you!
Dear PDG member,
You are invited to join our next workshop over Shadow-work where we will continue to explore what is hidden in our subconscious and how we can use it to empower us. This is the second part of an earlier event on this topic. You are welcome to join whether you attended the previous shadow workshop or not. We will look at our shadow aspects from a different angle with new exercises.
After the 2h workshop there will be an opportunity to network and socialize among the other participants.
How to bring your shadow to light and let it empower you!
Shadow - the term originates from psychology (Freud, Jung) – referring to the unconscious part of our psyche that we repress, disown or even deny to the point that we are no longer conscious of its existence. It primarily consists of our destructive traits and may also include some ‘more positive’, constructive characteristic such as creativity, sensitivity and spontaneity. As we are growing up and trying to conform to what is considered ‘normal’ and what is expected from us by the society we are forced to adapt, fit in and repress certain aspects of ourselves.
In this workshop we will deal with those parts that we deny in ourselves but have no difficulty in finding them others. In psychology this phenomenon is called Projection. We will learn an effective way out of projecting, facing our darker side and rebuilding our ”emotional body”. Just as physical discomfort, emotional discomfort has a message for us and we will explore how we can use that for our benefit and self-improvement.
The session will be interactive with practical tools and exercises that you will be able to use in your daily life. They will help you to have more control over your shadow side, rather than that controlling you.
