Probably no country has made its place in the hearts of Hamburgers more than South Africa – and especially the fascinating Cape region with its grandiose wine and culinary culture.
For three years, the cozy restaurant Protected content , has been the ambassador of South African wine culture in Hamburg.

The inspiring chef Sisi Oyefeso has conjured up a four course South African menu for our enjoyment.

Let's start with the elegant, enormously dense and long Chardonnay» The Forgotten Vineyards «by Topwinzer Johan Kruger. To accompany the wine is the delicately melting, slightly nutty Burratini (buffalo mozzerella) with figs and wild herb salad, which harmonize perfectly.

For the 2nd course, one of the world's big sauvignon blancs is entering the stage: the aromatic fullness of» 21 Gables «by Spier will surprise you. Sisi (the chef), creates a wild shrimp dish in intensely spicy, aromatic green Cape Malay curry.

The main course is spicy-tender ostrich fillet with finely tuned pomegranate jus, green Cajun beans and sweet potato and ginger mash. Accompanied by the noble Cabernet Merlot Cuvée of the aspiring boutique winery Simelia, unfolding all its complexity.

And we end the evening with the classic South African Melktarte.

You will feel like you are at one of the lively restaurants in Cape Town, Franschhoek or Stellenbosch by the end of the night.

Please DO NOT sign up if you are not planning to attend. Those who do sign up, will be asked to RECONFIRM before September 21st. Those who do not reconfirm will not be on the guest list at the Restaurant. People on the waiting list will then be invited to confirm and join us for the dinner.

Those who reconfirm will be added to the guest list and will be responsible for payment if they are a "NO SHOW" on the day of the Event. By reconfirming you accept that you are financially responsible for payment.
