Day of India Protected content
To mark the 70 years of Independence of India, Embassy of India in Minsk with active participation of Minsk City Executive Committee is organizing India Day on August 27, Protected content 1 to 5 pm at the historical Svobody Square in Minsk.
A 8 member dance troupe led by Swati Wangnoo Tiwari has been especially invited from India to present an evening of music and dance. The group, two female and two male Kathak dancers and Tabla, Sitar, Sarangi, Vocal/harmonium accompanists are known globally. In addition, Mrs. Vimmi Eswar, a famous kuchipudi artist will be coming from Dubai to perform. Local dance groups who are trained in India will also perform.
A separate segment will be dedicated to Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian dance and music. Traditional Indian sports will be showcased. The mouth-watering Indian cuisine and chai will be available both for tasting and on sale. There will be Mehendi artists to decorate the palms of the interested individuals. The traditional way of Indian marriage will also be on display.
Indian souveniurs, tea, spices, rice, cosmetics and jewellery will be available for sale.
There is practically everything for everyone right from children to aged. All are invited for an Indian evening full of joy.
