Truffle Hunting and Barolo Wine Tasting Experience
Let's spend a weekend enjoying together interesting and exciting activities in South Piedmont, famous for its precious wines and delicious white truffles.
My suggestion is to combine a truffle hunting experience (with dogs) with a nice home cooked lunch based on typical local specialities with truffles, followed by a rich wine tasting and a visit of the International Truffle Fair in Alba where besides understanding the mechanisms of the truffle market, we can also assist to cooking shows, guided wine tastings, sensoral evaluation of the white truffle and other gastronomic experiences.
As the truffle hunting activities are too expensive in the area of Alba, I suggest to go a little further to the south where we can have much more convenient prices. I found an excellent place for that not very far from Alba actually! They have almost 3 times cheaper rates for the activity and also almost twice cheaper rates for the Protected content truffle based lunch than the same experience exactly in the area of Alba.
And if we travel in a small group sharing the ride of maybe 2 or 3 cars, we can also save some money from the travel cost.
Those who have a car, please agree to take people with you and to share the ride.
Please confirm also through whatsapp message at Protected content
In order to book the activities and also find and guarantee a nice place where to sleep one night a partial advanced payment might be needed.
Here's my plan.
Saturday 11th November:
- 8:30am - Meeting at Protected content
- 11:00am - Beginning of the truffle hunt with dogs (25€/person),
- 12: Protected content cooked lunch directly in front of us with white truffles addings (50€/person),
- !6: Protected content tasting of up to 50 different wines of 10 different local wine producers in La Morra -- the heart of Barolo area (10€/person),
- 18: Protected content and evening activities to be decided.
Have a nice week and see you very soon!
