If the city of Paris and French wine had a baby, it would be Bordeaux. Beautiful architecture, delicious cuisine, and wine everywhere you look.
See Bordeaux, the La belle endormie. The “sleeping beauty” is a perfect description of Bordeaux. Beautiful, but out of sight in southwest France. The Romans were here. Unfortunately, much of their architecture does not survive. However, they replace it with other architecture worth seeing. The city seems to have at least one example of every architectural style from the last Protected content .
The cuisine has to keep up with the local wines. Treasures from local rivers and the nearby ocean and the freshest farm to table ingredients rise to the occasion.
You can not mention Bordeaux and not also say wine. Grapevines are surrounding the city. They’re on the left-bank and the right-bank, as well as nearby Graves, Medoc, and Saint-Emilion.
