There is no longer any debate - science finally agrees that there is a direct mind-body connection. Our thoughts cause our bodies to react.
Michele Schalin, Mindfulness Coach will be discussing how your fearful, negative thoughts can not only make you feel stressed, but actually cause physical pain and illness.
She will be talking about the information the scientific community has been sharing with us from decades of brain research about how we cause our own stress by the way we perceive the event that is happening in our lives. The stress is not the event itself, but how we interpret it.
She will explain the physiological effects that happen to your body when you have this type of thinking and share simple techniques and habits you can use to change the way you think.
Participants are encouraged to interact sharing their experiences with this new science and ask any questions. At the end Michele will lead us in a 10-minute meditation.
