'Ties' by Domenico Starnone
Hello book fans,
unanimously we voted to try a different venue for this month's session so for that reason we're meeting at Protected content I’m more than prepared to change the venue if this doesn’t prove successful, so if you’ve any suggestions for a good place to have a chat about the month’s book then please get in touch.
This month’s book has been nominated by one of our members and is by an Italian writer, Domenico Starnone, titled ‘Ties.’ This is a very short book of only Protected content , so please read at least some of the book before the session so you are able to contribute to the discussion. I’m enclosing a short description, taken from ‘The Times’, to whet your appetite.
‘The opening words of Domenico Starnone’s Ties come as a howl. No, worse than that. They are the words of Vanda, a woman who wants to howl, but for the sake of her children, her dignity, whatever is left to save of her marriage, is doing all that she can to be civilised. Cordial, even.’
The book is available on Kindle or as a paperback.
Enjoy the read, and see you in October.
