Lightnight Liverpool 2019 is happening!
Read everything below to understand what is happening!
One night each year many buildings in Liverpool (like the Town Hall, shown) that are not usually open to the public open their doors. The full programme has now been published and is available at Protected content The theme this year is Rituals. As you read through details of the programme on the website you should be able to identify how events represent this theme. Because there are so many events in different locations around the city centre (free) historic buses run around the city centre connecting different locations.
Accordingly I suggest meeting at Protected content
Some events will start as early as Protected content celebrations at the end of LightNight (usually requiring tickets purchased in advance) run into the early morning of Saturday. Because many people will be coming from work Protected content a better time to meet than Protected content suggested. Send me a text if you would like to meet at another time or another place. I will also be connecting with members of the Manchester InterNations community who may be arriving later.
Access: all events are taking place in areas around Liverpool City Centre, so can be accessed by public transport, (in principle) on foot, or via the historic buses.
Food: LightNight runs through the time when many people will be having dinner, so two locations (the Bombed Out Church and the Baltic Market) will be open much of the time with food stalls: but they may get busy.
Choice of events: there are too many to attend all, so look at the website through the link about and identify what you would prefer.
Timing of events: Not all events start and finish at the same time. Read the details on the website given above.
Costs: most events are free, but some require tickets purchased in advance. Check on the website. In addition you can purchase through the website a guide to the whole night that will give you information about each event.
See you there.
