If The Shoe Fits Ladies!!! Vol.2
**** Please note updated time of the event to accommodate for Fernando's availability****
**** You can reach me on my mobile but I will also leave you Roman's phone number Protected content just in case you can't get hold of me ****
If you love fashion and you have a thing for shoes and purses (which woman doesn't?), then this is an activity you will not want to miss!!!
This will be repetition of an event we held earlier on in the year. It was conceived by Lara and being made possible thanks to her friend Roman, we will be visiting a shoemaking school in Palermo! There, we will be shown how a shoe is made, from start to finish!!! This activity will be conducted in Spanish with Roman translating into English.
A bit of background: Argentina always has benefited from the good qualitiy of its skins and hides (good beef… makes sense), and from the Spanish and Italian immigration that brought into the new country their shoemaking know-how. That was a perfect combination to develop a thriving industry of leather tanning, footwear and leather goods.
Fernando began to work in the industry at an early age 38 years ago and has been teaching his craft for 18 years. He has taught in several institutes until he started his own school, combining his two passions: shoemaking and teaching. At his school he offers several courses in shoemaking, purse making, leather goods sewing and workshops in leather and embossed leather-making wallets. He also does consulting in shoe design and construction. Whereas some of his students have taken his courses as a hobby, others have gone on to work in the fashion industry becoming successful designers.
If all of this sounds interesting to you, then sign up before all spaces are taken. Just make sure that you only sign up if you can make it, and if you realize that you can't please cancel your attendance so your spot becomes available for another lady to take up :)
PS: Girls, please be punctual as the group will move away from the meeting point.
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
