Let's Rendez-vous in a Magnificent Hidden Garden
Twice a year, on the occasion of Heritage Days and Rendez-vous aux Jardins, the government opens the immense green door to let Parisians enjoy the magnificent two-hectare garden designed by Claude Desgot , the little nephew of André Le Nôtre, in Protected content remodeled in Protected content Achille Duchêne.
The garden is a haven of peace, with its alley of Protected content trees. Here and there, the minister can hide himself for confidential conversations, at the foot of one of the 13 trees planted by prime ministers since Protected content last being an apple tree ""claque pépin", planted by Edouard Philippe in Protected content .
Those who pay close attention to the grove will see two tombstones under a magnolia, those of the dog and the cat of an Ambassador, a reminder of the time when the place was the Austrian-Hungarian Embassy but also the apiary of the Matignon hotel, a little away from the residence.
See you then!
