British Museum: Ian Hislop’s search for dissent
I’m sitting having coffee and reading through the book which accompanies this exhibit. I wasn’t sure about what it was about until I started reading about it. And it’s really interesting! Ian Hislop, the satirist and editor of the magazine Private Eye, has gathered exhibits from the British Museum which are about the themes about challenging authority. So the exhibit uses artefacts from different eras and different times to show different shades of rebellion.
We'll see the exhibit and then head off to dinner or coffee depending on what people want.
You can get tickets at the museum or you can buy ahead of time. If you buy an online ticket, then try to go for an 18:30. I don't think it's a big deal exactly which ten minute interval you pick about around there.
