Water and cloud formation: atmosphere and possible predictions
The lecture will be given in German.
Everyone is talking about the weather, wanting to know whether the sun is shining or whether it rains, storms or snows. There are many beautiful people, many of which can only be found in the rainforest. Clouds are complex structures and play an important role for our climate. Airplanes, ships and ground stations carry out measurements all over the world in order to be able to stimulate clouds with the acquired data in climatic models.
Professor Dr. Crewell shows why clouds are so important to the climate and how the various measurements contribute to the improvement of the weather forecast.
