Ready to Join?

How do we live and work in our cities today and tomorrow? This question is dedicated to the four-part series» Cologne Perspectives on Living and working «. The city of Cologne, together with its partners, invites internationally renowned experts to talk to Cologne in order to get to know current strategies and projects of other European cities. The focus is on the questions of how to reconcile the diverse demands on living and working in a growing city and the possibilities for design.

Kristiaan Borret (born Protected content been the Protected content – Maître architecte of the Brussels region and since Protected content of Urban design at the University of Ghent. In his career he regularly changes between theory and practice, design and politics, architecture and urban planning. Protected content awarded the Flemish Cultural Prize for architecture.

"Production belongs to the city," says Kristiaan Borret. Our cities today are incomplete, production and trade should no longer be located outside, but in the midst of our urban life. In his presentation he will present strategies and concrete projects of the Brussels region to the productive city.
