Monteloro Ring Route

Dear all,
this uphill ring route take us to discover the Tuscan countryside around the peaceful village of Monteloro ( Mons Laurus ) not far from Florence . We start from the town of Le Sieci and here we discover the ancient medieval church of San Giovanni Battista and the 'Brunelleschi Ceramics'; we continue up to Gricigliano with the wonderful Villa Martelli(now home of religious institute) . Then we reach Monteloro with vestiges of the ancient and imposing castle in a dominant position over the area and the small and nice church dating back to the 12th century.
The second part of this path, lead us along pleasant country roads between fields, vineyards,, centuries-old woods frequented by wolves, among splendid views towards the Arno valley, the Secchieta and the Pratomagno.At the end we come back to Le Sieci

Total length: about 14 km .
Total climb altitude: about Protected content
Difficulty level: Medium .
Actual travel time (without stops): Approximatelly 4hours .
Duration: daytrip (packed lunch by the participants) .
COMPULSORY Equipment: face mask for Covid rules, Green Pass is a law requirement for indoor sites. Hiking boots with carved sole,clothing suitable for the season and weather condition,water supply (1.5 liters minimum) and packed lunch.
Recommended gear: hiking poles,camera.
Minimum participants required : 8 people.
