City Tour #6: Pigalle + La Butte Montmartre

After our 5th City Tour Protected content let's carry on this bohemian neighborhood.
The Pigalle district is a trendy area famed for its neon-lit red light district and eclectic nightlife venues, ranging from cocktail bars to the Moulin Rouge, a 19th-century cabaret. South of the boulevard de Clichy, modern bistros share space with imposing neoclassical nineteenth-century buildings that have given the area the name of New Athens. Among its most famous art museums are the Gustave Moreau National Museum and the Romantic Life Museum.
The highest point of the French capital with its Protected content above sea level, Montmartre attracts tourists from all over the world thanks to all kinds of attractions. This vast district, which was an independent municipality until its absorption by Paris in Protected content , has known very different lives throughout history.
