The Dutch pianist Mike del Ferro is a much sought after composer, pianist and arranger who writes and performs in an impressive series of musical genres. He has explored the world (at least Protected content , looking for collaborations with musicians of cultures that are very different from their own music world and the musical results are remarkable, musical bridges between cultures were built. He has a contract with Challenge Records International for a series of 10 CDs called "Songs Inspired By Wandering The Globe", in which he is looking for collaboration with musicians from all over the world. The first CD 'The Journey', recorded with his new trio with Dutch bass player Jeroen Vierdag and Belgian drummer Bruno Castellucci, was released worldwide in spring Protected content . The second album 'Impressions of Brazil' has recently been launched with vocalist / guitarist Ceumar From Brazil. Mike's father was the opera singer Leonard del Ferro ( Protected content ), who sang with Maria Callas and Leonard Bernstein. From his earliest childhood he grew up with top-level music. The Amsterdammer started his career at the age of 9. He studied classical piano and during his studies he developed a love for Jazz, he studied Jazz and did a Masters of Music in contemporary music at the Amsterdam Conservatory. His reputation as soloist, accompanist, composer and arranger has led to worldwide performances, recordings and tours with musicians such as Toots Thielemans, Jack DeJohnette, Randy Brecker, Oscar Castro Neves, Deborah Brown, Erik Truffaz, Jorge Rossy, Scott Hamilton, Richard Galliano, Thijs van Leer (Focus), Harold Land, Jan Akkerman, Norma Winstone, Benny Bailey, Candy Dulfer, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Badi Assad among so many others. To date he has recorded 15 albums under his own name and has appeared on numerous albums in many different genres from Dixieland to Salsa. Protected content
