To learn more about the history of the Artists' Course ...
It all started in Protected content Les Rencontres Saint-Gilloises, a non-profit organization created by Albert Eylenbosch and Alain Hutchinson, organized the 1st Artists' Course at the request of Charles Picqué.

It was a question of highlighting the resources and creative potentialities in the city in order to valorize its image and that of its inhabitants and thus to mobilize them to a greater participation to the cultural and artistic life.

Parcours d'Artistes Protected content an event for both the Saint-Gilles population and the artists and creators who participated.

This vast operation to promote the contemporary plastic arts meant to give the public the opportunity to find the path of the workshops, the basic axis of Parcours d'Artistes. Indeed, Saint-Gilles lent itself to this type of event: strong presence of artists, galleries and art schools, high number of students in visual arts.

Since its creation, Parcours d'Artistes makes it possible to meet artists at their place of work, to better understand their approach, to discover talents that until then were little known.

He confronts different practices, professional and amateur, individual and collective.
Parcours d'Artistes brings together different generations around similar concerns, confronts each other's artistic approaches and conceptions, and creates permeability in contemporary art production and distribution systems that suffer from hierarchical systems that generate unacceptable isolations!

Artists' Journey brings a different perspective on the city and the cultures that cross it.
