Alignment based Hatha Yoga w visiting Hawaiian Yogi - Patricia
This SPECIAL first class out of two this year will be an alignment based HATHA YOGA with an emphasis on extending the spine safely, and bringing more range of motion to the shoulders and back.
Note: bring your own yoga mat. Blocks will be provided.
WHY do we practice yoga asana?
The purpose of practicing asana is to find liberation from stress and strain in the body and mind, thus liberating us from the common distractions of life so that we can more fully realize our True Nature which is Bliss (Ananda).
The yoga asanas REDUCE fatigue and CALM the nervous system.
Deep practice frees us from mental strains and helps us to come closer to realizing our inherently Divine Nature.
The workshops will be mostly centered around freeing the tension of the spine and neck, bringing more openness and range of motion to the shoulder joints in order to free the neck and reduce mental strain, and gradually increase the flexibility and strength of the legs (our foundation).
