Exploring the Big Bambú!
Let’s explore the Big Bambú: This Thing Called Life indoor installation by Mike and Doug Starn at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston on Saturday morning, August 11, Protected content . It is a display of 3,000 bamboo poles lashed together in a “chaotic but structurally sound construction” that fills the museum gallery and towers about 30 feet into the air! Visitors are invited to take a walk on This Thing Called Life.

Exhibition Ticket Info:
Single Admission Ticket for Big Bambú: $18 per adult Protected content , Kids Protected content under) are FREE.
Combo Admission Ticket for Big Bambú + Peacock in the Desert: The Royal Arts of Jodhpur, India: $25 per adult, Kids Protected content under) are FREE.
Before purchasing your tickets, please read the below visitor guidelines carefully for Big Bambú (posted on MFAH):
*Visitor guidelines for Big Bambú:
• All Big Bambú ticket holders may experience the exhibition at ground level.
• Please note these requirements for accessing the upper-level pathway. Guests need to:
o Sign a waiver (You can download, print and sign online or at the museum)
o Wear flat, rubber-soled shoes (no bare feet, heels, wedges, flip-flops, or backless shoes such as mules)
o Confirm they are able to walk without assistance
o Be at least 3.5 feet tall Protected content
o Confirm they are age 6 or older
o Have one adult for every two minors between the ages of 6 & 12 in the group
o Access the pathway without babies in carriers or strollers
o Exercise sensible judgment at all times when on the pathway, especially if using cameras, smartphones, etc.
