Ready to Join?

Dear North Bay Explorers Group:

InterNations turns 10 and has declared September as a big birthday celebration month, so please join me and your North Bay Explorers friends for this "Anniversary" hike and international picnic on the rugged and beautiful top end of the Point Reyes National Seashore peninsula, about an hour North of San Francisco. The hike will be on the Tomales Point Trail to Bird Rock, a moderate but good work-out 8.5 mile hike (back and forth) with 800' elevation change along the Northern peninsula of Point Reyes State Park across Bodega Bay. It starts at the Pierce Point Ranch, one of the oldest Protected content and most historic dairy ranches in the area. During the hike we are almost certain to spot the unique Tule elks, and on clear days sea lions and even whales offshore and of course plenty of birds (Bodega Bay was the original site of Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds"). The views in September should be spectacular!

As usual we'll have our international picnic on the way, whereby everybody brings their own lunch plus a little sampling dish from their home country to share. I think everybody agrees that last time the home made dumplings from Moldova were the winner:-) Please don't forget water or other beverages to your liking to hydrate:-)

We shall meet around 12:30 at Protected content . Please join up with a driver, as it turned out nicely during the last events (voluntary drivers please post or register at our carpooling app at Protected content Ride seekers can also register and sign up with drivers) Also, I can take up to Protected content in my car leaving Sausalito around 11:15 am. I can pick people up at Protected content (10:40 departure) at 11:10. It is about an hour 15 minutes drive from Sausalito. See directions below. If you want to meet in Sausalito to drive in convoy, please let me know.

I look forward to seeing many old friends and making some new ones! This is another beautiful Northern California outdoor adventure, so let's have fun:-) Depending on time, there might be some after party wine tasting event on my house boat in Sausalito:-)

PS: Please contact me for any questions/information.

Best regards,
PeterProtected content
