Let's kick it up a notch & hike where the San Andreas Fault separates the mainland from Point Reyes, located on the rugged and beautiful North end of the Pt Reyes National Seashore peninsula: TOMALES POINT

We'll hike the Tomales Pt Trail from the Protected content a moderately rated but good workout 9.4 mi hike (out & back) w/ 1,177' elevation change along the Northern peninsula of Pt Reyes State Park across Bodega Bay to the East & the Sea shore to the West. During the hike we're almost certain to spot the unique Tule elks, coyotes, wildflowers & on clear days sea lions & even whales & of course plenty of birds (Bodega Bay was the original site of Hitchcock's movie "The Birds"). The views on a clear day will be spectacular!
