“Livin’ La Vida Imelda”, Carlos' one-man performance about Protected content Manila, Martial Law, the Cold War and the life of our flamboyant former first lady, Imelda Marcos, returns for a series of post-election shows at the Pineapple Lab in Poblacion, Makati.
In 20o2, “Livin’ La Vida Imelda” started out a walking tour of the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex. In Protected content , it was transposed into a theater piece in collaboration with Kapisanan Center for Arts and Culture in Toronto. The theater version has been performed in Twist Gallery (Toronto), The Ontario College of Art and Design (Toronto), The Cinematek (Copenhagen), Art Dubai (UAE), Silverlens Gallery (Manila), The Cultural Center of the Philippines (Manila), Henry Hotel & Cebu Country Club (Cebu) and on the Off-Broadway stage, produced by Ma-Yi Theater Company at the Clurman Theater on Theater Row (New York City).
It’s one and a half hours of humor, history, and gossip.
