Photo Exhibition: Fukushima cherry trees
After the Fukushima disaster, the NHK organized the Fukushima Cherry Tree Photo Contest seven years in a row, making this tree the symbol of reconstruction. This exhibition will bring together 30 photos selected from Protected content or awarded at this competition. A map of the department showing the advance of the "cherry blossom front" will also be presented, as well as photos of the photojournalist and jury chair of the Yoshino Oishi contest, taken since the disaster until today.

NHK Fukushima has filmed in VR (virtual reality) several sites in the Fukushima Department renowned for their cherry trees as well as abandoned houses and schools in the city of Futaba-machi, in the exclusion zone. Reports in 4K will also be broadcast: the Sôma-Nomaoi festival, the fireworks of Shakado-gawa, etc.
