Have you recently started dancing Argentine tango? Maybe you took a course for beginners last autumn? Have you danced for several years but haven't quite figured out how milongas work? And what exactly is a milonga anyway?
Beginners and tango dancers who still feel unsure about taking your chances on the dance floor: this is a relaxed event designed specifically with you in mind. Maybe navigating among other couples makes you nervous or you don't know how to invite people to dance. Come and meet other freshly-baked tango dancers and share the experience. Who knows, you might even find a practice partner!
The information session from 6 to 7pm will give you some insight on how milongas work, highly recommended for newcomers! The session is included in the entry fee (3€).
(Note: this is not a dance lesson, and it might be held in Finnish, so brush up on your language skills ;) ).
The milonga starts at 7 pm.
Cafeteria with coffee, tea and snacks available for a small fee.
You can come and dance, or just come and see what tango is all about, in the real setting of social dancing. You can meet some teachers, and find out about tango in Helsinki.
If you would rather skip the session at 6 and come at 7 straight for the dance, that is fine too.
