This is a real Special Occasion to sea and wildlife lovers!

Protected content in Pieterburen is a rescue, recovery and rehabilitation center for seals. Throughout the year they collect hundreds of seals that often due to humans have been in trouble such as they get injured, sick or orphaned. They help each seal in distress and release them again when they recover. No animal remains permanent in this shelter.
This Special Occasion will be the release of the seals. In a very small group, we sail to release several animals together back in the sea. We sail from Lauwersoog to a sandbar in the middle of the Wadden Sea, where we disembark with the animals. When we arrive at the sandbank, the sun starts to go down. Accompanied by members of the Seal Centre, the animals will be released. It should be an unforgettable experience. Usually the animals stay a while on the sand and there is plenty of time to take pictures.
The price of this trip is 59.95E (incl. entrance to the Seal Centre and travelling with a car to Pieterburen from Amsterdam and boat trip to release the seals) On the very same day there are lots of interesting shows and introductions of the work at the centrum, so get prepared for a full day activity!
Please note if the weather is not good enough then there is a possibility that the event gets cancelled however in this case we get the ticket price back.
Bare in mind that as we will be stopping by a sandbank, it is possible that you need to step out in to the water, therefore please bring waterproof shoes!
Your participation will be confirmed by the activity host, after receiving the payment. Thank you for your understanding.
Hope to share this experience with you!
