The Cracovia Danza Festival showcases the dance heritage of Krakow, Poland, and every other country where the culture of court dances was present. This year’s edition of the Festival is titled „Stars, Planets, Cosmos and the Court Dance”.

The Festival is inspired by the celebration of the 550th anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’s birth and is designed to reflect the principles of his heliocentric theory within the art of dance. Throughout all festival events, Cracovia Danza will be promoting the figure of Nicolaus Copernicus and his great contribution to the science of Astronomy.

This year's festival will have two free dance recitals taking place in the main square. A group of us will meet to have an early dinner/ very late lunch at Protected content , outside on the patio.

From there we will go to the outdoor stage to watch the dance performances. I am posting Part II so that others can join us for only the dance portion.

To encourage people to cancel if they're unable to attend, InterNations is starting to implement a policy of reporting no-shows. Cancelling to let us know you can't make it is an important courtesy - it allows other people to step in if there's a waiting list, and at the very least - it means we don't stand around waiting for 20 minutes for someone that isn't coming.

Even if it's a free event PLEASE let us know if your plans change at the last minute.
