Free visit of the National Bank of Belgium Museum
The brand new museum of the National Bank of Belgium is exceptionally open on the occasion of the national holiday. Hosted in a beautiful 19th century building near Central Station, the museum focuses on three themes:
- The tasks and activities of the central bank
- Money in all its guises
- The history of means of payment
The museum's collections include numismatic items, iconographic documents, valuable books and archives, artefacts and machines.
After the visit we will have a drink and/or enjoy some food at Lucca Cucina Italiana, Rue Ravenstein 1, where our esteemed member Bill Chew is giving a concert.
