What is mindfulness?
According to Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction method, mindfulness is “paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgementally, to the unfolding of experience moment to moment. Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, sensations and surroundings.
9:00 hours meeting at St. Anthony College and to direction Atalay.
Start: 9:30 mindfullness excercise Atalaya
10:00 hours mount horses
Horseback Ride: 1,5 hours
*time horseback ride is an estimation
Small group, 3 places available. Before we mount the horses we do a group exercise for mindfullness and set intention.
During the ride we continue guided ‘mindfullness’ and at certain stops we share how we are "at present moment."
We walk mostly through the river in walk, the aim is getting , getting in contact with our “self”, the horse and enjoying the environment.
You need to have some experience with riding or being on a horse.
Helmet is mandatory. One can rent one for 5 euros.
