Meeting point: Roosevelt Island tramway station at 59th street and 2nd ave.
The whole walk is a little shy of 6 miles.

You can get back into the city via the N/W and R trains. That is a 15 minutes walk to the N/Q subways. You can also catch a bus from nearby Socrates Park that will bring you to the subway stations.
