Tihany (Balaton) Bike Ride
Let’s explore the beautiful Tihany peninsula by bike!
It will be a fun and busy day including train/car, boat and bike rides.
This is an all-day event and I cannot exactly tell you when we will be back to Budapest.
The starting point is Szántód on the South shore of Lake Balaton.
We will take the ferry to the north side, Tihany, where we start our bike ride to explore the peninsula.
We will enjoy the amazing view of Lake Balaton and visit a few local attractions.
We plan to have a meal in one of the local restaurants/fish places.
Make sure to dress properly, take suncream and carry plenty of water to drink.
Along the trip there will be places where we can buy drinks/snacks/food.
From Budapest, we can go to Szántód with train or car.
You can transport your own bike via the train or with your own car.
It is possible to rent bikes locally.
When you sign up for the event, please let me know if you want to rent a bike, need help to arrange it or if you will take your own.
The train leaves at 7:35 am from Déli train station or you can catch the same train at 7:42 in Kelenföld train station.
The train arrives to Balatonfoldvar at 9:08 am.
